Off-Site Services
Services can be provided at our clinic in Mount Barker, in the client’s home, childcare/ELC, kindy, or school, to children aged from approximately 18 months through to 18 years.
We currently work with a range of schools in the Adelaide Hills and Murraylands by providing school-based Speech Pathology and Occupational Therapist services. This works for the child and their family, to not disrupt their school and weekly routine.
We may already work at your child’s school. Get in contact with us today.
Group Sessions
Time 2 Talk’s groups use neurodiversity-affirming practices. This means we use a strength-based approach. We accept and celebrate your child’s individual differences while equipping them with tools to participate in positive social interactions. We offer a range of social activity-based groups such as Teen Girls Social Group, Thrive Girls Group, and Ready to Learn Group. These sessions are a fantastic opportunity for children to:
Build connections and social skills with peers
Build on problem solving skills
Work towards individual goals
Play and engage with peers
Support their language development
Group sessions also tend to be more cost-effective, allowing more clients to access services.
We run these groups during the school holidays and also during the term time.
@Home Kits
At various times throughout the year (e.g January/July School Holidays) we offer “Time 2 Talk @Home” therapy packs that can be purchased. These packs are designed by Speech Pathologists and Occupational Therapists and include a number of activities that help work on your child’s goals at home.
The packs focus on the following skills: building vocabulary, following directions, reasoning and problem-solving skills, recall and narrative skills, asking and answering questions, social communication, fine motor skills and executive functioning. Our @Home packs follow a theme, our previous themes have included Cooking, Science, Garden and Summer.
